'69 Tail Light Can Replacement

I bought an LED replacement kit for my '69 Tradewind tail lights, but both cans for the back up lights are totally rusted out. The only source I could find for a replacement is at Vintage Trailer supply for a whopping $40 a pop. It is nice that they are machined aluminum, but is well outside my budget. Anyone know of some other more affordable source for the cans or some hack replacement?

This was the reason why Steve @VTS had them made, there was no "hack" replacement.

The 4 1/8 inch round tail LED lights and backup lights will not fit your Airstream.

However there are modified lights available, that directly fit, and you don't need the cans.

Those LED lights are not very expensive.

I installed these after removing my rusty cans. I had to use a die grinder to slightly enlarge the housing and trimmed the flashing from the light.
