4" by 4" LED Taillights for Vintage Trailers.

I have installed taillights I bought at Tractor Supply Company and they work great. The body of the light has to be modified slightly to fit but it is easy to do. The model I got from TSC had one 4 LED light attached to the main body for a license plate light.

Here is a link to my website where I have pictures and instructions.

Interesting. I did the exact same modification on our motorhome last winter. They look great too! I bought the same lights from tractor supply. The liscense plate leds now illuminate over my door.

Great Post Vic, I wondered what the best way to go with LED was and you have a timely post.
Thanks,
Mac

LED turn signals for an ARGOSY

Tractor Supply Company in Canada and the United States are under different ownerships and TSC in Canada doesn’t carry the item Vic found.

For Canadians, I found what I suspect is the same item under the Power Fist house brand name at PRINCESS AUTO, a large chain operation.

It’s a Submersible Trailer LED kit. Fittings, cable, everything for $54.99.

The lens is within a 1/16” of the Monarch #9075 original!

On first examination it appears that the fiberglass bezel on the ARGOSY can be slightly modified to receive the whole unit even more easily than modifying the Monarch housing to take the LED components.

I’ll confirm if that’s the case later.

Trying to install L.E.D.s also, need help.

I am trying to retro. some leds on a 1962 Safari. I have tail, faint turn, but when I apply breaks they simply go out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. I will try to get model and pics info if interested. The lamps I have purchased have S/T/T and Back-up on the outside. They also line up with the factory holes for the original lights (I think they are refered to as "wedding cake" lights). I need to rig my lights so I an trek to Tucson last Sunday! I am late.

check your ground, it might be bad or poor. try running a test wire from a known good ground.
