2017 — crazy lights

2017 - crazy lights
Our 2017 Classic has a 12 volt light problem. We just replaced the converter and batteries and were told that this would solve our intermittent light problem which started shortly before we realized our batteries were incapable of holding a charge and the converter was shot. Since replacing batteries and converter the light issue remains the same. Inside master mostly works, ( not outside one though ) but we are unable to control them at the other panels — next to Alde, next to couch, etc. — until for some inexplicable reason we CAN control them from these panels — then again we can’t — etc. Bedroom works normally however! Any ideas?

Any difference if you control them from the button panels throughout the trailer or you’re saying those don’t work but the firefly does?

Sounds like your issue is with the firefly and the links between the panels. Sounds like there may be a split in the wire somewhere?

Thanks for reply. We’ve looked a few times at firefly and decided it was too involved for us.
Latest — we’ve decided it’s the solar panels and that they have been an intermittent problem forever. At any rate, last night the lights started working again. AND The clicking sound under the sofa stopped. ( dark outside — solar not trying to charge anything...). The clicking has been intermittent since we brought this home and we have experienced problems every time that was a symptom.
So today my husband disabled the solar and it’s night and day. The light panels work correctly and “easily” — something we’ve never experienced! No clicking ( a short or something ? In the solar as it tried to charge batteries?)
We have someone coming today to look into that. Thanks.
