Hello,
I'm new to this group and a proud new owner of a 1965 airstream. I was wondering if anyone has information about where I can find replacement parts for my plastic tail light housing. I'm not sure that I want to remove them and fix the area with a piece of flat aluminum. I would like to keep it as original as possible.
Thanks for your response. I found a post with the same question. Listed under (65 safari tail light replacement help). Basically I need to repair the unit with fiberglass. I'm thinking of trying to get some made out of aluminum. I think this would look much better than painted plastic IMO.
Brian,
I have this same issue. I just purchased a 65 Safari and have those grey plastic tailites aht are falling apart...What did you do to get it repaired. Did you make aluminum ones? Thanks...Any help would be great. Brady
