1962 Bambi Porch light or what

This one has been puzzling me ever since i got my Bambi back to Texas.The pictures show that it seems to be a porch light of sorts?? back plate says Grimes MFG TG 127 the silver cover is the original to this back plate looks like a corncob light...Maybe?? I have not seen any other bambi's with a porch light in this location and now its up to you the AS semi-pros and PRO's to help me out with this. Oh and the dent just to the upper left to the light is from the rad college kids tossing rocks at my bambi!!!! Really! needs to be in a safer location, lucky I have that panel to replace still.
