12v ground location

taking a break from polishing while the bonnets are soaking in simple green, and want to start pulling wire for the curb side of the trailer, but wanted to confirm the method of ground for fixtures. I've read and witnessed on our 69 having a ground wire return for all interior wiring and shell ground for exterior trailer lights. My question is, what is the original method for grouping and connecting these grounds to the 12v source (be it the converter or battery)? Was there some type of bus bar that also provides a post for the negative battery cable?

thanks!

Also anyone know the correct location for the univolt (66 overlander street side full bed) and where in the rear floor the trailer wiring originally entered the rear compartment? Thanks!

Just enough wiring was cut out, and plywood replaced that there isn't clear evidence on this stuff and I don't want to put it in, then have to relocate later.

ok should update/clarify. Did some more looking around, and did find a bus bar (similiar to a household breaker panel) near the fuse panel in the rear hatch. There is a 4 fuse panel and below it a bank of what appear to be circuit breakers. Does anyone just have a picture of the correctly wired 66 panel so I can see where wires go?
