You never know when

I'm still a newbe with this and just thought I would pass on one more learning exercise. I've been tossing around the notion of changing my 800 lb. w/d bars for some time to the 600 lb. ones.
Maybe what happened to my plumbing was a little hint to do it? I was in the process of flushing out all the return lines and in general getting her ready for a short trip. I happened to look under the trailer by the stairs and saw a drip come from the gas line going up to the stove/heater area. How I'm not the brightest light bulb, but that just did not seam right! Further exploring and I found it! The return black pipe under the kitchen sink that was supposed to be glued in had come apart. I'm not talking about the screw down ones under the sink itself, but the pipe that has the air vent on top. I really could not see where there ever was any glue used.
So, even if it was not caused from the w/d bars, it was a learning curve to always keep in mind that something can always go bad and to keep checking everything on a regular basis.

I suspect you are right about no glue. People have found all kinds of dubious shortcuts in newer Airstreams.

Water coming from your LP appliances is never a good thing. I'm glad you found it was something else. You might be able to get away with spreading some PVC glue around the joint that has no glue, just make sure the joint is clean and dry to give yourself the best chance.
