What is extra hose inside Thetford Aqua Magic

I just completed an overhaul of my Thetford Aqua Magic due to a leaking valve in our '92 34 Excella. While I had it out, I installed a seal kit (#08368). Everything was fairly straight forward except I don't know what the hose between the rim and the blade housing is. There is a hose from the valve up to the siphon break, and a hose from the siphon break to the rim. All that makes sense. There is another hose from a hole near the rim that goes down to the blade valve housing. What is the purpose of this third hose? It seems like it introduces a path for fresh water via the blade housing beneath the blade seal into the tank. Is it for cleaning out the blade housing? Is it a slow-leak overflow for the bowl?
