wet bath removal

Hi All
I have a corner wet-bath (toilet and shower) that is in two halves. I removed the top half and I am left with the bottom half still in the trailer. It appears that the toilet ring and the shower drain are the only way that the unit is held in place. I removed a piece of alum sheeting on the underside of the back corner revealing some black drainage pipes, joints and the black water tank discharge valve.

I have two questions - one am I correct about how the unit is attached? and two - how do I access the underside of the shower drain so that I can remove the bottom half? The drain is approximately 12" from the side of the trailer and 33" from the rear.

The drain will unscrew from the piping, using a cylinder w/ a cross cut into it that fits into the drain. However, on mine the corroded cross in the drain broke... since I needed to do floor repairs (and as it turned out, fix rear end separation), I dropped the belly pan in the back. I'm completely re-building the bathroom, so I ended up just cutting the piping loose from underneath. I re-plumbed things again w/ ABS, and have a much larger and studier drain ready to go in once I get the shower finished.

Thanks, I got it out without damaging anything. I used a pair of needle nose pliers. I did discover some dry rot under the black water tank. Is this what you are dealing with?

Actually, the tank area was fine; the rear plywood was rotted as water has worked it's way underneath the plywood. I ended up replacing about the last foot of plywood....

Note for the future: Lowe's or HD sells a "drain key" used for drain removal. This worked great for me. About $12.
