Upgrading exterior shower hose/head

Okay, I've searched about as well as I can but if can't find a conversation about the crappy external showers. Most of the conversations seem to be about adding an external shower or about installing SS access doors.
The hose is horribly stiff, badly kinked and just wants to keep kinking. I have yet to find a way to stow the shower in that box where I'm not forcing the door closed. And the shower head itself is pretty awful. IMO
So, there must be a simple fix or upgrade. I'm having trouble finding upgrades to the hose/shower head anywhere, not just this forum.
What I'd like are either:
A) soft flexing kink-resistant hose and a better shower head/nozzle, or
b) and ease quick disconnect hose and head like Gardena system.
Has anyone done this?
Muddy post-run and post-Mountain bike ride clean (me and the bike!) are the two primary use cases for me because, a, putting all that sand and mud through the grey water doesn't seem like a good idea and, b, as much as I've tried the bike doesn't fit in the shower stall and revert to (a).

For whatever it's worth - I got the stainless upgrade at the factory. The hose is more supple than the original and the shower head itself is better than the Oxygenics I bought for the internal bathroom! Very happy with it. Good luck!!

I like this unit in the "Living Vehicle".

Or this as a "swap out" for the dinky plastic fitting.

The problem is the hose has to store in the compartment wadded up. Better ideas have the hose slide inside, but you need a place for them to go.

Definitely looking for a good fix for this external shower issue. I hate, hate, h8 the crappy stiff kinky leaky shower hose and the pathetic shower head. There HAS to be something better out there.

Is the outrageously expensive SS replacement really any better? Can I just buy the hose and head without replacing the whole stinking thing? Thanks!

Great, so how do I just order the SS hose and head? I don’t see any option for that on the Airstream store online.

I'm not sure but I would imagine you can find exactly what would work for you at a local hardware or big box store. There's nothing unique about them. Find exactly what you like and connect it. Good luck!

Great idea, thanks! Went to Lowe’s, bought a SS shower hose ($22), installed it, and voila!

Same cheap crappy shower head , but it does have a volume control, which no regular house shower head has, so we stayed with that for now.

Great! First time in a long time I've had a good idea, let alone be helpful to anyone. Great day for us both! [emoji3]

Happy camping!

Happier already, as we can now easily give our dog and any sandy / muddy feet a decent wash without hose kinks making it a chore!

We have a 27FB too and with the exit door we put in on street side, it's even better - you can take a shower and buzz right back in the trailer without walking around to the other side - same for pooch wash....

Another great thing about the outdoor shower there is the ability to fill the freshwater tank - just take off the shower head (be sure to capture the rubber washer! - and pop the shower hose in to the fresh tank while still connected to city water. Makes it a real breeze!!!

Can’t believe I never thought of that before. Cool idea!
