Townsend toilets

Plumbing was the project today. The Townsend toilet in the 66 Caravel is out while I change the "Gold Plated" black water tank newly recieved from InlandRV. First of all I see a chipped and repaired corner at the bolt down point. Previous owner obviously gave it one more pull on the wrench just to be sure. Next was the drain valve on the fill tube, at the rear, was cracked at the base and would have been great fun the first time water was turned on. And the next problem materialized when , after cleaning the base and seal area...removing all the broken and rotted seal parts, I checked on the Vintage Airstream Homepage where I remembered seeing some info on the Townsend, ....the seal is not to be found and sources are sought.
So tomorrow AM I am off on the search. Any info on sources or replacements would be appreciated.

If you go to vintage airstream.com ,you will see restoration resources ,click on that and there is a great list of resources for many things vintage airstream.There is a section for the townsend closet flange repair and upgrade.That might get you going on that repair .I think a newer seal is used
in the upgrade .You might be able to go to a plumbing supply at a home store
and also find some seals that you could use.you may have to engineer
some items to effect the repair .
