Both times I've read that I've laughed so hard my sides ached.

After hearing mention of this thread in the What is Your Favorite Thread? post, I searched it out and sat here all morning giggling over it. I had this vision of everyone who posted in to help her, crowded into the trailer and looking over her shoulder while the retrieval process continued.
In my town it would have made headline news.........

This one gets my vote too. A true classic.

If the toothbrush was sucessfully recovered, it could bring in a big bucks on a e-bay auction. Could be listed as priceless
Unbelievable story-

I too had to reread this thread after it was brought up again. I tried to erase the entire incident from my mind! I think I scarred my daughter for life. I now have a phobia about having the lid down on the toilet! I did get a new toilet in the trailer shortly after that. I figured since I got all the PO's germs out of the black tank, I should just go all the way & replace the toilet too! It sure would have made it easier if I had just taken it off in the first place! Oh well, I'm glad my misfortune made everyone laugh a little. I can now laugh with you too without being in the middle of it all! It was pretty darn gross!

I'd forgotten about this thread too. It does bring out a cackle or two.

WOW. What a thread. I have to admit, I couldn't do that.

When we brought ours home, the indicater lights for the BT showed only 1 light in the middle so I knew we had something hanging around in there.

When I got to the bathroom, I removed the toilet and almost lost it. I then asked my DW to clean down the toilet hole with a straight face . Next thing I know, there she was, rubber gloves, bucket, just scooping away . At least I know I will be in good hands when I'm too old to...

Anyway... It is now cleaner than our kitchen sink after hours of rinse-through and the new toilet will be her birthday present !

x3 on the Flush King. Plus half-full tank, water softener, laundry soap and borax before a long drive. I usually boil up 3-gals water (strong, rolling boil) as the final rinse. Takes many rinses before water always comes clear. Once I had it that good I backed off from daily fill/rinse.

A good excuse to change the dump valve and piping downstream from tank.

(And a funny thread).
