Toilet issues

I'm guessing that the wood screws used by the PO to put in the toilet were not the preferred method? The wood around the toilet seems to be solid but the flange is rusted out and the wood screws were rusted. I just unscrew this flange? ( I have a black abs plug in the whole just to prevent things from falling in). The original gasket does not look bad but it was very slightly askew. I was going to order a new flange, bolt kit and jasket. Is there anything else I need?
