Toilet height- too high?

I'm trying to find a toilet for our 1970 Globetrotter with the rear corner wet bath. The PO installed a new Thetford Aqua Magic toilet but the problem is the height. The seating height is around 22" which is too high for me at 5'9" let alone my wife and six year old boy.

The shortest "low profile" toilet I can find online is 13" before it's mounted on the Globetrotter raised fiberglass base (can't modify it) which is about 8 or 9 inches- hence 21 -22 " height.

I believe a typical toilet seat height is around 16".

Any and all ideas/leads would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance- Sal

Could you do something like this? I did mine to move the bowl about 4 inches to the side withe a angle adapter. but you could do something simular and make the step stick out a little further than mine does. this method could be used if you are too tall for the potty also.[IMG]file:///C:/Users/175594/Desktop/picture_034_thumb.jpg[/IMG]

Thanks but my wet bath is a lot more limiting and really no option for moving things around to help. I could always come up with a removable step/platform but I'd like to have a more elegant solution than that.

I'm amazed that no one makes a shorter toilet- what do the new wet bath Airstreams use?

The thetford I just took out of MH is 11 inches without the adapter base of 3 inches.
The new one I put in was 14 inches without the adapter base.
So you would have 19 inches even with this lowest they make on your pedestal.

The base or floor rise is about 8" under the toilet so I would end up at 22" which is the problem at hand... I'm starting to think I need to find an old toilet that can be refurbished? I had a 1973 Tradewind that had a similar rise and the toilet didn't seem too high...
