I am at a loss as to how remove the toilet flange from the black tank in my 67 Caravel.
I made a spanner but all the flange does is spin, spin, spin.
This is the only thing holding me up on getting the shower pan out.
I dont want to wreck anything by going Frankenstein on it.
Any ideas would be super!
Thank you.
I can double check but I had 2 bolts holding the toilet to the flange and then 5 very rusted screws holding the flang to the shower pan and the busted black tank under that. I am still at work and dont get off until 8 but will double check as soon as I get home. goning to post some pictures today?

The toilet came out easily and the screws are all out of the flange that is attached to the black tank.
Now I'm just left with the flange/ring that wont release its grip from the shower pan and black tank beneath it.
I will go have a look at it again this afternoon.
The metal ring that goes to the black tank is the flange and it is threaded into the black tank. My tank had suffered a crushing weight that broke the top of the tank for you if the ring is spinning then put on some gloves carefully grab the ring at position 3 and 9 o'clock pull slightly and turn at the same time counter clockwise and it will come out! Could be a rusticle holding it in. (Large rust bubble on the ring). Let me know if this works.

Page 4 of my thread there is a picture of the black tank (1966 caravel with issues) and a few pictures later you will see the flange and next the flange with the only protection it had.

I was going to myself but gave it 1 more try and it came out! Good job though see you can do it and you are moving faster than I did!
