shower wand dribbles when not using

Shower faucet is off but water dribbles from hand wand making noise if hung up on hook. Sticker on wand says it is supposed to do that to let you know water is hooked up. It had never done that before. I have replaced 2 rubber washers in wand but it still dribbles. Any suggestions ?

If the faucet is turned off the wand should not dribble after a minute or so. A small amount of water should dribble when pressure is released by the vacuum breaker where the hose connects at the shower wall. If it is leaking more than this, the problem is in the faucet, not the wand.

The wand is supposed to dribble when the faucet is turned on and the thumb button is in the no flow position. This features is to let you know when the faucet is left on accidently. Leaving pressure on the shower wand hose for extended time might damage it.
