*bump*
Our 75 Overlander rear bath came to us with no shower door or provisions for a curtain.
I like the solution pictured in post #11, but it doesn't show anchoring on the wall side.
I was thinking a 10' piece of 1/2" conduit bent into a large "O" and suspended with towel bar ends drilled out to accept the conduit. The beautification engineer suggested PVC.
What have others done? Pictures greatly appreciated!

But that proved unrealistic. There will always be some splash and overspray on the floor that way.
When I stumbled upon a stainless steel wire device meant for hanging fabric curtains at IKEA, I sensed I might have something that could work with the unique curves of the Airstream.
Attachment 106490
The secret is that the wire holders swivel and bend up to 180 degrees.
One end is affixed to the curved ceiling/wall and bends down; the other end runs straight out from the partition wall. The wire is tensioned from this end.
Then I went to Tractor Supply Company and bought some nickel-plated swiveling chain hooks.

An inexpensive plain white EVA curtain, found at my small town hardware and folded in half works perfectly.
Attachment 106492
After use, the curtain compacts neatly against the wall and doesn’t take up space.

Your idea is genius, SmokelessJoe. I have been looking for ideas to make an l-shaped rod and I think this might be the ticket if I add an additional support/fixture in between the two. Do you think that would work? Would I be able to make a 90 degree angle using this idea?

Did you mean L. ?
If so I suppose you could work it out.
The trick would be finding the devices. Does IKEA still carry them? That was along time ago.
Like me, you will need ingenuity.

Want to replace the folding shower door in rear bath '73 and like the devices from IKEA that SmokelessJoe used. Checked website and they still carry them. Also am tossing around the idea of mounting a retractable clothesline to hold the shower curtain, with an extra end receptacle mounted to the side. That way there wouldn't be a permanent line/rod across the tub for my tall husband to run into . Anyone tried this?

Thank you for posting all of these parts as I have the same issue in my 1958 Flying Cloud 22'. And this I hope will work in ours. The cool thing is that if you use this rig you can use whatever fabric as the theme to match the bathroom or rest of trailer if you just get a clear PVC shower curtain to keep the water contained. Great parts and pictures! Thanks so much. PS all parts are now on Amazon.

1 pack of track ends (RECMAR 4132) I used these to keep the one single mount at the bottom of the U from moving to the left or right.
My blog had additional pics and details.

If you don’t mind. How do I find your blog? I would love to see more pictures of how you did your shower.
