Round kitchen sinks?????
Does AS still offer any models with a rectangular type sink in anything other than the International 16 and 19?
The round sink looks like it would drive me nuts because of it's shape. How do you guys feel about this?
Thanks.

I thought about putting in a round sink but the wife like the double oblong sink for function. For function they are much better. I put an oval sink in the bathroom.

I decided to put in a rectangular sink in my project too. I thought the round one would make me a little more nuts than I already am!

Two small sinks or one larger round sink. Experience is the best teacher.

The large round sink in our 23' is fantastic. Plenty big for washing or hiding dirty dishes. Wife stands on one side to dry while I stand on the other side to wash (the sink sticks out in a peninsula.) A folding bucket fits perfectly so we can lift it out and dump dishwater down the black tank for boondocking.

We get along fine with the single round sink.
Wash and Rinse as you go, placing clean dishes in a strainer over a t towel.
More than one way to skin a cat, folks.

We have the single, large, deep round sink in our LYG MH. Last summer, on one of our trips, we found a 9 liter somewhat rectangular tub with curved ends made by Camco that fits nicely in the bottom. Initially, we weren't sure about the single sink, but have come to like it very much. Will try to post a photo at a later date.

I love my lobster bowl sink!
Large pans, dishes, and my 28 cup percolator are easy peasy to clean up in that mack daddy.

Has anyone found a stainless steel sink "rack" for their round sink yet? We have a super huge rectangle sink in our home kitchen and the sink rack saves it from scratches et al. Is the round sink in AS's 18" diameter? I ask this b/c we don't pick up our AS until next month but, trying to figure out some kitchen "must haves" now without any measurements. Thanks

I have never seen one of these, but you might look for a round baking rack that would fit.
WalMart or one of the kitchen outlet stores might have these.

There is a lesson of sorts. When you go out to buy the kitchen and dining accoutrements for your rig, make sure they're all round in shape.

I removed a single bowl rectangular sink and replaced it with a round one when I renovated my Argosy 20'. It looks nice, is deep, and works very well for my use. In my opinion, the little double bowl sinks that RV's have are silly, you can't even get a plate in them to wash. The larger ones take up too much space, leaving no countertop. My single bowl rectangular was also too small.

My wife got a flexible plastic sink pad for the bottom and trimmed it round with a hole for the drain. Got a quality plastic cutting board at Target that fits from side-to-side with grips to keep it in place over the sink, and it has a little drain basket for vegetable cleaning and such at the side. This stands next to the stove after meal prep so it's a chance to coordinate a little color.
We leave the heavy factory sink cover at home, it's useless and will bounce to the floor when traveling.
Forget about the standard double sink way of doing things here; innovate to suit the task and you will really like the large deep round sink.
Careful on the "must-haves", they can overwhelm your tiny Airstream galley very quickly. Keep it simple and always watch the weight.

Another thing to consider when remodeling is the position of the DRAIN in the sink. If you can find either a rectangular sink with the drain in a corner or a round one with the drain offset to one side - you can get a LOT more usable space in the cabinet underneath.
