Replacing toilet

Hello fellow Streamers. On my 1988 Excella the toilet hold down bolts are ar the 11 oclock and 5 oclock position. I notice that lots of the new toilets have the hold down holes at the 9oclock and 3 oclock positions like the home toilets have.
If I get one of the new toilets how do you move the toilet flange to a different position to accept the new toilet. Are they glued in or threaded ?

A toilet flange can be moved around to fit your application.

Where you able to move the bolts to 9 & 3 ?
I want to change my toilet and mine are at 11 & 5 but I do not remember what the flange looks like.
Bad being old guess I should have taken photo last time I had toilet out.
Also did seal with new toilet work with your flange?

I replaced a toilet for a friend. Unfortunately I don't remember the brand but when he bought it at camping world the also sold him an adapter to address the problem.
If your lucky you can turn the flange.

Yes Dometic has a adapter that is $65 at Camping World.
But I would like to put in a Thetford Aqua Magic residence and hope I can tune the flang on my 1989.
I may have to wait till I can look at my toilet and see what I can do.Just that PPL has a very good sale on them till the 18th

If the plywood under the flange is in good shape you could possibly drill through the flange and use the type of closet bolts that are threaded to screw into wood on one end.

Then of course there is always velcro

Yep Velcro,duct tape,Gorilla glue and silicon sealer should do it.
Even the parts guy at Camping World said to use the bolt like that so maybe that is how they do it.
Thanks for the help just wish I rememberd how my flange was.Hope it is like the photo in posting above.

The original flange in mine, the top part is metal,and will turn. I had to cut mine out of the tank destroying it. The plastic flanges available now have 4 holes for toilet mounting, and the residence only needs 2, at 3 and 9 oclock, so just screw the new flange in until tight, then back off until 2 of the bolt holes are at 3 and 9 oclock.

If you use the threaded bolts for wood. You will put holes in the top of the BLACK WATER tank. The original wood on mine was only 1/4" thick. Not much holding power there.
