Post Replacing a Dometic 310 toilet with a 320

Looking to replace the toilet in our International 30' with a Dometic model 320. My question is: Will it fit?

Thankful for any advise we can get....

I’m about to do it this weekend on my FC30. I’ll let you know.

It was a piece of cake. The water inlet comes off with your hand. I suggest using a bit of Teflon tape on the inlet of the new toilet.

Two screws, pull the old toilet out. It was that easy.

Be prepared to do some “cleanup” before you install the new toilet. Now is the time to do it with the old toilet out.

I’d also suggest flushing the black water tank and deodorizing it before you begin this exercise.

I thought I’d also report back that after having “tested” the new toilet several times, I’m happy to say the difference is night and day. I’ll leave the details out. Suffice it to say it’s much more comfortable. It does take a little more room in an already small bathroom, but I’m my opinion well worth it.

I've been considering this change for our FC28, but the small size of the bathroom to begin with does concern me. I'd hate to install the larger toilet and then have to either leave the door open or come up with an outward bowed door so my legs will fit. It's not always easy being 6'2" and 250 lbs.

I improved our shower by making a nice cedar facsimile of the teak floor inserts being sold for Airstreams. Now my head rubs on the ceiling.
My wife likes it though, so I'll leave it there.

Installed the Dometic 320 yesterday in our 30' International. All went very well.

The back spacing is the issue with this install. On ours there is 10 1/2" from the mounting studs to the wall. That is enough to allow the toilet to fit.

Thanks to all for the info..
