Removing shower from 1974 Soverign 31" mid bath?

Hi there
We have been slowly making changes to our 74 Airstream that we bought this summer. We are thinking about taking out the shower pan and closing off the bathroom off so that it is just the toilet/ sink/ vanity in a small room, and where the shower was will be open to the kitchen.
Has anyone attempted this?
Any tricks/ traps we should know about before embarking? (We will be paying a experienced contractor to do the job).
If we remove it in one piece is it good for resale- no cracks, we just don't want it...
Anyone think this is an unintelligent move? We want to make space and to install a wood stove.
Thanks so much

It's Your Airstream...

... and you can do anything you want.
A few considerations.
> It seems unlikely that a contractor, no matter how experienced, will know anything about remodeling an Airstream.
> If you decide to sell, it will be worth less to some if there is no shower.
> If you do remove the shower. I suggest you integrate the space into a large, bathroom dressing area. Potential buyers may love the feel of an expanded bathroom/dressing room.
> Yes, by all means save and protect the uncracked shower stall. It may be the only one in existence.
