Remove Anti-Freeze Stains In Shower

Does anybody have any quick fixes for removing pink RV anti-freeze stains from shower stalls. The PO must have been a little sloppy when winterizing. I have tried just about everything that I could think of, they have lightened up a little, but I still see pink .

I think I'd rather have a pink stain than broken plumbing.
Have you tried Purple Stuff? Full strength, it works pretty good. I've also used Soft Scrub in our tub, which was badly discoloured, with excellent results. Now, unless you were looking for it, you wouldn't notice the staining.

the shower pan is a fiberglass/gel coated surface, right?

some cleaners may leave leave the gel coat MORE prone to future staining...

so look for one of the commercially available 'gel coat cleaners'...

megs's make one...Oxidation Remover M4901 Product Information

but others are available too and might work, is there a boat supply store nearby?

as for preventing future stains, well....

that's the tricky issue, because WAXING the floor will leave it slick and hazardous for standing on.

my experience is the pink coloration gradually fades during showers and normal usage...

cheers

Seeing Pink

Overlander,
Thanks. And you are right I should just be happy that it is a little pink stain and not broken plumbing. The Mrs. tried soft scrub with limited results. We will try the Purple Stuff next. I don't think I mind the pink stain; it is just that I don't have anything else better to obsess over. I am nit-picking trying to get a 20+ year old trailer to better than new condition .

Cleaning Aresenal

2Air,
Thanks, I will add the Meguiar's product to my cleaning arsenal. I use a lot of Meguiar products on my other vehicles. They have a very good product line.
