Remove 72 Sovereign Toilet

I'm sure there is something I am missing in the easy process of simply unbolting the toilet so as to replace the flooring in the bathroom but I can't see what it is. There are no bolts in the front so they must be in the rear but I just can't feel them.
TIA,
Lance

There are two 1/2" hex nuts holding your toilet down. One should be in the front, one in back. The front one can be accessed through the foot pedal area, the rear one will require hanging over the toilet and using a wrench.

My toilet had an acess tab on the left side under the seat. I still couldn't get the wrench on the nut & had to enlarge the hole. Look and see if you have a square tab on the top left side of the bowl???????? Of course that assumes the same type of toilet.

Do a search on this forum for "1972 thetford aqua magic 30" , I copied the procedure from the manual. This would be for the toilet in an international.

I could not find mine either. I got on my hands and knees wearing poly gloves and started feeling around. There was bees wax all over the bolts and nuts. Once I removed it I decided not to mess around. I got my reciprocating saw out and cut the bolts. My floor was coming out anyway.

We just got ours out today. The mount bolt had become loose and finally we just had to pull it up. We need a part or two or simply may replace with a brand new porcelain/china toilet just to have improved access.

You'll get it. To get to the one behind the petal, you have to wedge the toilet open and be careful not to let your wedge drop into the tank.
