Plumbing Problem??

no no, I confused you I think....not a travel latch...what is the term again...these go on the inside back of the drawer....when your drawers close they likely produce a "SNAP" sound and they are held in place by a similar snap mechanism....you cannot see these unless you take drawer out like you said and look inside the back part of the drawer....does that make sense?

ill look up a pick - but these are not externally visible in operation...

Nothing like it in my Classic-
Nope- no snapping sound-
Nothing inside the drawers but the inside of the drawers...
The drawers in a Classic are just like the drawers in your bathroom and kitchen at the stick and brick abode.
Another difference in a Classic and a Flying Cloud- like the a/c units and the plumbing-

I ain't confused at all...
The only thing that keeps the drawers in place in a Classic is the fact that you must lift the drawer up before you pull out on the drawer-
No latch whatsoever-
Like I said earlier- If balancing the wheels doesn't keep the drawers from coming out I will get some of those latches you pictured.
For now we will continue to take the drawers out and place them on the floor prior to rolling-
Another thing that would work is those child proofing latches you put on the cabinets and drawers at the stick and brick house-

Even the overhead lockers have no latch-
They are simply held in place by spring tension in the little support rods that hold them open.

ahh - we have the "click" sound of our latches when closing - I may resort similarly to taking them out if these prove insufficient

You have to lift yours? Would they come out in travel ?

On bad roads, yes, they come out- roads so bad as to make 2 motions- up and out- are amazing to me.
I still think it could be a wheel balance issue as it only happens from the wheels back. from the tongue to the axles you can place a glass of water on the floor and it will not spill-
If wheel balancing doesn't stop the drawers from coming out I will put child latches or travel latches in them- or just continue to place the drawers on the floor prior to travel.
We also place the shower head nozzle/hose thingy in a towel on the shower floor. It has come out of its holder and swung around violently during travel and put a nick in the shower wall.
We no longer use the soap dispensers- they will come out during travel and soap will run all over the floor.
With the regular toilet we have to flush before travel, but after disconnecting from water to keep the water in the commode from splashing out on the floor.
When we arrive at our destination, I make sure the kitchen faucet sprayer connection is tight- otherwise water leaks in the cabinet under the sink-

I use a soap dispenser but remove them from base attached in shower to secure location during travel

It was good to put a lot of names (Airforums handles) with a lot of faces at Canopener.
It was good to meet you and you family.
Maybe we will meet again somewhere on the road.
Our trailer has residential style soap dispensers by the kitchen and bathroom sinks.
The drinking water filter has come loose during travel as well.
I just leave it off all the time and drink bottled water.

I haven't had a problem with the 3 "flavor" dispenser I mounted in the shower, but it slides down onto the mount about 2" and seems secure enough. The shower head rides on the floor along with a plastic basket holding the wife's foo foo stuff. I also put the Corian sink covers in a secure spot under the sink.

Back on topic, I have the (plastic) latches you described on doors and the drawers under the bed that run on metal drawer slides, but the galley drawers don't use the slides and the only thing holding them shut is the small horizontal slot the front end of the drawer drops into when it is fully closed. A good bump can easily dislodge the drawer and any subsequent movement will let the drawer open. I would be interested to learn how you installed these catches on the rear of these drawers, access seems limited.

I wouldn't think the latches go on the backs-
I would think the latches go on the drawer fronts and cabinet faces- but I don't know for sure-

My plastic current ones are on back - these are comparable in size and I think it will work out - may try an install tonight

That's how they are mounted on the larger drawers and doors. Would definitely have to use a stubby screwdriver to mount the socket half in the confined opening of the smaller drawers. I expect there would be an alignment issue for the hook to enter the housing as the drawer is designed with vertical movement as it closes and theses catches don't have much tolerance.

4 installed - the bottom 3 are installed like in the photo - the top one is installed at the front of the drawer

At lowest "tension" - these are noticeably tighter - ill end up torquing them down just a tad more and I think they will hold when driving but we shall see
