Oxygenics Shower Head w/pause button

I would like to install a pause button shower wand in my Classic.
OEM from the factory did not have a pause button on the Moen unit that is in my 2010 trailer.
The type I'm thinking of is made by Oxygenics.

A few years ago someone (I think, 2Air), said the Oxygenics won't work with the Moen type unit.
Have any of you, with a newer Classic, made the changeover?

I'm interested in this as well. I miss the premixed button on/off I had in my old SOB. Does anyone make one in Bronze finish? Maybe that's asking for too much.....

You can add an inline on/off switch with any shower head.

The shower heads and hose are universal with AS and home. I have replaced shower head and added on/off switch with supplies off the shelf at Home Depot.

I bought an Oxygenics shower wand last year and it came equipped with an attached valve on the wand to reduce water flow or turn it off completely. When you are not connected to city water this is very helpful.

Camping World is having an internet sale on these type of shower heads. They have plastic, chrome, and brushed nickel.(see link below)

If you buy one let me know how it works. I am also considering replacing mine but have not decided what type.

We have been using one of these for the past 2 yrs. It works , my wife has very long hair and needs a good force of water to rinse. She is able to do so with this shower head. And it does come with a twist shut off for the water attached to the base.

Bump,
I just got one of these Oxygenics shower heads and it does not work right with this overflow device installed at my shower hook up. Has anyone had the same problem and what was the remedy.
Thanks

I found the remedy was to return it. Oxygenics advertises a 20% water savings but when compared with the AS shower head, the flow into a bucket was equal for a one minute test. There are a lot a options for less $.

I have been using the Oxygenics shower head since 2005. I use a 3/8" curly hose to hook up my trailer to the pedestal. With the original shower head, I had a very weak spray. With the Oxygenics shower head, I have a good, hard spray. To me, having a good hard spray from the shower head is a lot more important than the amount of water used. We take navy showers and the total amount of water used is trivial.

I eagerly anticipated the day I would install an Oxygenics spray head. Finally I found a sale price I liked so I bought it and installed that day. Boy was I disappointed! Yes, the flow of water is great - if that's a concern for you then you may very well like it.

First, the flow/force of water resulted in 30% greater water use as measured in a bucket for one minute. Granted we take Navy showers so you could argue that may not make much difference but 30% is 30% no matter how short the shower is. I considered adding a restriction to the hose to reduce the water flow. I'm sure I could have made that work but I didn't bother because of problem number two.

The second problem is the water cut-off valve is a separate unit that you screw on the base of the head. Yes it works - the water flow turns on and off as expected. I was glad a valve was included because I had seen some posts indicating people had to purchase this separately. However, the way the valve it made it rotates/swivels to allow free movement of the head. Consequently, I never new where the valve was going to be "clocked" so it was not easy to find the button to turn off the water flow. In my mind it's another water wasting feature. Once again I could have made this work by gluing or taping the valve so it wouldn't swivel. But a related problem is the location of the valve. The Oxygenencs head and handle is so overdesigned that it has this fancy-pants curve and long handle so the valve is several inches away from where I hold the shower head. Once again a water waster as I move my hand down the handle to find the valve to turn off the water.

Believe me - I tried to get used to this thing but was very dissappointed. Maybe it's the old dog new tricks issue. I'm certainly willing to believe that other people will like Oxygenics but not me. I took it off and returned to the old shower head.

Henry,

Susan and I bought one after Alumalina in 2013 when our factory shower head died. From our perspective it makes the shower spray better than the factory head. With respect to water usage, it seems to be about the same or less. We haven't measured the flow so we can't testify with authority. We spent 57 nights in the trailer during our trip west this year, including up to four boondocking nights in a row. We were very glad we made the switch from a comfort perspective.

When we installed the new head we used the factory Airstream hose, instead of the one that came with the Oxygenics, allowing us to use the existing wall mount. The matching push button water cutoff came with the Oxygenics.

We love our Oxygenics shower head. one of the best comfort upgrades we have done. Water usage is less than the Moen showerhead that came with the trailer.
