No hot water in shower - 2004 Safair

Hello All:

I just purchased a 2004 25' Safari. A beautiful trailer with one glitch - no hot water in the shower! We get hot water in the kitchen sink and bathroom vanity. Any ideas as to what is going on?

Yes, the hot water line to the shower sprang a leak and someone disconnected it or it's also posible that the shower faucet is just broken. Start tracing hot water system out. You'll find it.

I would take the shower valve apart and see if someone replaced the insides, it is possible to put it together wrong and it would block off the hot water when you turn it to hot.

Hi, it is fairly common for the shower valve to go bad. Long story short, replace the cartridge in the shower control. I know because I have been there and done that. I took mine all apart, cleaned, and checked everything. It still didn't work. I bought a new part from Home Depot and it has been working ever since. As for installing it wrong, if you put it in backwards, the water will be hot first and then cold as you turn the handle. [as per Moen]

I just had mine go out when I went on the road last month.Darn hot water was running low at full blast.I looked behind the sink and noticed water on the wood floor and then inspected as much as I could.I figured it was the faucet itself that finally crapped out.I am going to take it apart tomorrow and fix the leak.

What type of sealant did you all use to seal the edge up on the faucet when you replaced it.Bathtub sealer or something else.Thanks All.
