No hot water in shower

HELP! We're on the road and the shower is not getting any hot water.
The water "flows" in the hot position but no hot water. All other faucets and hot water heater working fine.
Do you think it is the shower off/on valve?

Can you confirm that your water heater lit and stayed lit? The light on the switch panel should come on and then turn off and stay off. You should be able to hear the burner working. Are the valves at the heater in the proper positions (the ones in the lines to and from the heater in line with the pipe, the bypass across the heater perpendicular to the pipe)? As you turn the temperature valve from the cold position to the hot position, does the pressure and/or flow change? This would indicate that the valve is working.

No hot water in shower

When you find an answer, please post. I have the same issue, same trailer, and a Moen valve. We are on the road also...20 miles from town in campground. I have a dribble of lukewarm water.

I know this is an old thread. But just went through this and thought I'd post an answer to help the next person.

Definitely the moen shower cartridge.

The cartridge is a Moen 1222.

There are several variants: 1222, 1222B, and 1222HD, and many 3rd party equivalents. There's also a rebuild kit for ~10.

It's been said that Moen parts are for life you may be able to get a free replacement directly from Moen via their support line.
