Question No Cold Water from Shower Faucet!

This weekend we discovered we had no cold water comming from our shower, also very little water pressure. After reading our 1974 Airstream service manual, it looks as if the Shower Mixing Valve is the culprit. The cartridge needs to be replaced, and the retainer clip was broken. We have a 1974 29' Ambassador Rear Bath Airsteam. The shower faucet does not have a brand name on it. Can anyone help us to obtain replacement parts? Thank you!

It`s a Moen call them 1-800-289-6636,they will send you a new cartridge and clip, they have good customer service. Dave
PS it sometimes requires a puller to get the old cartridge out,you can probably rent one at HD or a good Ace hardware

Here's my post on exactly that same scenario, albeit in the kitchen, not the bathroom. However, it's exactly the same part, so you might expect the same results. Skip down, the part you want to read is nere the end of my post.

Make sure you have lots of white vinegar on hand...

I actually found the Moen cartridge and retainer clips at Home Depot, with the same part number as in our manual! The Core Puller Tool for Moen was also available, I bought it, but will return it if not needed. Thank you Airstream Forum!
