Newbie with leaking shower faucet

I Just picked up our 2006 25FB SE and we are very excited. The only "problem" we have is that the shower faucet does not shut off completely. I am familiar with Moen faucets and before I replace the cartridge, I was wondering if this thing has some sort of adjustment.

When you turn the valve all the way to the right, water still dribbles from the shower head. This is only about 3 years old an has not even been used that much. Could the cartridge go bad so soon?

Thanks

Sitting can do as much damage as abuse. Could have picked something up out of the line as well. Have you pulled the valve out to look at it? You can get valve kits, or the complete insert. The kits are relatively inexpensive.

As far as adjustments, I'm not familiar with which faucet you have, the only adjustment I know is an adjustable ring that will limit hot water (temperature control)

Many times a Moen faucet can be repaired, by replacing the "O" rings on the cartridge.

Worth a try before replacement.

Thanks for the helpful replies. I decided to replace the cartridge but will keep the old one in case I need to rebuild one in the future. Everything went well and it works great.

Now all I have to do is figure out where we are going to store everything. There isn't a lot of outside storage on this unit. I suppose I will be loading more stuff in the back of the pickup.

The storage issue took us awhile. I found out I usually brought too much as it is. We have a permanent stock of the basic (cookware/kitchenware/linens. etc) so we dont have to deal with that every trip.....just our clothes and food. Bigger items I carry in the bed of the pickup (grill/generator/bikes)

Took a few trips to smooth it out, but still working on it...

.......glad your faucet was an easy fix!
