Need simple shower head with cutoff

I am looking for a simple shower head that has a good reliable thumb operated shutoff lever/button. The one I have has several positions and to turn it off you have to use both hands and the off position closest to the normal shower position leaks. It is a major pain and wastes water. This fills the gray water tank too fast. I don't need multiple positions and we are almost never hooked to sewer since we mostly stay in state parks that don't have sewer at the sight.

I purchased one of these for our Airstream replacement shower.
Somewhat pricey but beautifully made, easy to use and forever reliable.

Thanks Bruce but I really want something that I can operate with the same hand that is holding the shower head. It would be high up on the handle.

We found a simple in line cutoff with a round pin pushed easily with the thumb holding the shower head. In stock at the big box hardware stores.

I recently purchased an Oxygenics Body Spa model and it is a big improvement over the original shower head. It uses less water, provides much more water pressure, has a convenient shut-off valve and cost about $40. I highly recommend it.

These are fine if you don't mind one that does not shut the water off completely, and just lets it dribble a bit. I don't like the dribble. I want complete shut-off. If you want complete shut-off then you need to go with a ball valve one like Bruce suggested. I have the same one. It is pricey, but it works, and I imagine that it will last forever.

Now Perry, it does take two hands to operate. You can't have everything.

I remember the shower in my old 5th wheel that I lived in, in college that had a simple lever under the head at the head end of the handle that you could just push with your thumb while you were holding it. I expect it was some sort of ball or plug valve. It worked and did not leak. Both the wife and I were amazed at how long a shower you can take with 6 gallons of really hot water. We are starting to use our shower now but if you are camping more than a couple of days showers are a no no unless you carry an external tank and that is just one more thing to have to deal with. That is about as much trouble as just pulling the trailer to the dump station every two or three days.

Same thing as posted above, but in bronze. This can either be installed just below the shower head and could be operated by one hand. I preferred to install at the wall end of the shower hose for two hand operation. nice fixture.

We used one of these shower cutoffs, but when we purchased a new Oxygenics shower head, the shutoff is now included in the shower head and works great. This is a much improved shower over the original included by Airstream. It gives a more intense shower and uses less than half the water of a conventional shower head. If you're using water from your internal tank, this is great for reducing water usage.

I really wanted an oxygenics, but they don't make one in bronze.

I was thinking of this. It has good reviews. I know it does not have good Feng Shui but all I care about is that it work.

I have the Camco because I wanted a shut off in the handle. The shut off button is very stiff and hard to move, and the head still drips a little even in the off position. The price is right, and I still use it, but I will replace it if I find one with a better shut off.

Note that the small constant flow when these showerheads are "off" is a feature, not a bug. It is deliberately designed that way so you know the main valve is still turned on. It my not be the way you want it to work, but it is deliberate.
I had an Oxygenics in my house until a major remodel and it had a very clumsy shutoff, a rotary thingie, but now with the pushbutton I may upgrade the moho: I really like the spray design.

I have found that while using the pump to take a shower that you have to have the flow rate above a certain threashold or the water temperature flutuates as the pump cycles on and off. I use the pump 100% of the time till I can find a pressure regulator that actually works as opposed to being used to throw at ferrel dogs. I have not looked at Walmart yet.
