Moving plumbing?

Hey yall, new guy here looking forward to a complete interior renovation. I have been looking for a 60's-70s'(for cost and full renovation purposes) 28' trailer with the side bath and full rear bedroom. These seem harder to come by, and I was wondering if I am planning on gutting the whole thing anyway, can the plumbing locations be moved easily in these trailers?

Thanks for you help, and pardon my inexperience, I have been building/remodeling homes for a long time now, and I'm just not sure what all can be done in the world of Airstreams.

Thanks again!!

welcome to the boards!

if you're doing a complete redo, you can put the plumbing where you want.

check out this link to the major renovations. it'll give you an idea of what you may be in for.

I don't know what the original configurations were on this one, but here's a gutted and ready to go 28' 1962.

This one is is incorrectly listed as a '62... looks like a '67 to me.

I noticed that as well. I thought it had the curved Corning windows. Looks like the Airstream Terrorist got hold of this one and gave it up after disassembly.

You're both correct - it's not a '62. I should have known better than to take the title at face value Upon closer inspection it does appear to be a '67. He/she did get the model right at least!

Actually, it appears to be a pretty nice shell for one of those 'start-from-scratch' totally re-do everything projects. Looks to have little damage to the exterior skin...with the inside gutted, what is damaged can be accessed and fixed without too much ado.

The only two things that send up a red flag to me are this comment:
1. "What you see here is what you get, so please limit the questions." Hmmm...if I were buying sight unseen on ebay, I would want a seller to be willing to answer all my questions. Like are all the interior skin panels included in the sale...I don't "see" them in the pictures...
2. the unknown reserve, it could be set too high.

Could be a fun project...I'd much rather se a total reconfiguration performed on one that's gutted than on that's still intact ~ it's a blank canvas at this point!

I've asked the seller to provide the VIN to clarify the model year and so far no response... surprising???
