Mounting Oxygenics shower head
Hi,
Bought and Oxygenics shower head for our 27FC FB and went to install it yesterday. I planned to use the new mount that came with the shower head and had hoped it would cover the existing holes. However, when I place the mount over the two existing holes, the shower head is too tall and hits the light in the shower.
So, those of you who have this shower head, have you had this problem? If so, how did you solve it? If I lower the mount, the two existing holes will be exposed.
Thanks!

Okay....figured it out.
I just reinstalled the old "post" hardware on the shower wall and added the tilting hardware used from the old head on the new head. The head is pointing down quite a bit, but it clears the light!

I used the new stick-on mount that came with the shower head and kept the old mount. The post is used to hang a bath body scrubber.

I just removed the existing shower head and used the oyegenics head in its place. All other existing hardware, including existing water line, stayed in place. The oygenics shower head is incredible. We absolutely love it!

I have SOB RV but, when I switched to an Oxtgenics unit, I left the existing mount and, for traveling, I secure said hand-held shower head with a Velcro strap. Works like a charm!

Just install screws in the exposed holes. Seal the threads though.

Just replaced the shower head only and all is good. What you suggested won’t work as the hole patterns are different.

Does the Oxygenics head have a valve/switch to turn water flow off at the head ?
Is it variable or specific (on/off) ?,
Ie can you increase or decrease gpm depending on being hooked up or boondocking?

The Oxygenics has the same gpm flow as the stock AS showerhead.

There's a knurled ring around the base of the showerhead that allows you to adjust the flow. Some bundled SKUs also include an on/off valve that installs between the showerhead and the hose. The adjuster ring won't quite stop the water flow but (at least on older ones) but it does curtail it to a dribble.

Ours also came with the off/on valve. When "off" it still drips a little. You can also control the flow with the valve. Love it.

So why do you like this kind of shower head in an AS?

It's much more satisfying to use on the waterpump or low-pressure external water than the stock version is. I had one in my Argosy, and I definitely liked the "feel" of the water stream better than I do that of the stock showerhead in the Flying Cloud. So far I haven't worried too much about replacing the stock one.

The head design restricts the flow so you end up with less water being used and it also causes the velocity of the stream to be increased which may cause your skin to feel more satisfied with the rinsing action.

So that’s what it’s about. I was wondering why...
