Kitchen sink

I don't know if my kitchen sink is original or not... It is a double, but each side is soooooo small and I can imagine it would be very difficult to wash dishes, unless they were very small

I was wondering what everyone else has done,

Live with it?
Put in a single in the same space?

Would love to see pictures of yours!

As long as I am tearing things up, I am going to do a new counter top if I can find a laminate I like. Anyone have any orange?!

1. You can turn the sink sideways, which will give you an extra 6" of countertop space.

2. Get a smallish single bowl sink.

3. Turn your single bowl sideways and you'll get more countertop.

This post shows a large single bowl sink turned sideways. The faucet is against the shower wall--works great.

Here's a small bar sink that works well.

I turned the standard double sink in my Caravel (no photos) and it fit fine, even though the faucet was in the edge that was centered in the counter.

My Tradewind has a double sink that was a little shallower than I liked, but it was perfectly serviceable. I'm a big fan of double sinks (of any size) over single basin sinks, as I can use one side for washing and the other for rinsing.
