I can touch the floor

Our 2005 25' trailer has the corner bath with shower and the toilet. The toilet sits on a platform above the black tank. The platform makes the toilet about 2 1/2" higher than a regular "comfort" height toilet. No shorter RV toilet is available.

Because the plywood covered with laminate platform was showing some age and needed to be replaced, I took it all apart and found that the platform was artificially higher than necessary. So I built a new platform out of solid surface (corian) material.

Now the toilet is just the right height. Now if I could just make the corner bed into a regular bed -.

Floor "Lift"

You're oh, so right about the toilet in the corner bed 25's and 19's not being a comfortable height. Drove us nutz.

Very nice fix you made there.

We dealt with it in another way...we "raised" the floor by building a wooden piece that sits in front of the toilet on the original floor ... and covered it with vinyl ... Since these pics were take we have gone a step futher and cut a small throw rug down to fit the shape and snapped it to the top of the "lift"...we can unsnap it for laundering...

No pics but i dealt with it by replacing the toilet with a ultra low profile marine toilet from Dometic! I will try and get some pics soon...

Plan B was to make a platform but when I saw I could lower the throne, I went with that since I needed to rebuild the one we had.

I sure didn't know about a shorter toilet. I looked at all the Dometic RV toilets. What model of marine toilet did you find?
