How to tighten the vanity faucet

The vanity hot water handle is loose. Cold water is just fine, nice and tight, but the hot water is flopping and rattling. I don't see any hex key along the outside, how the heck do you tighten the handle on a 2006 Safari vanity?

A pic would help. If it has an identifying letter on top. See if it pops off. Many. Brands have a screw inside under the letter "H" or "C".

I figured it out. Other faucets, you are correct, the H or C pops out and the screw is underneath but this one is different. The other day the kitchen faucet, single handle, came loose and wouldn't shut off. I had to push down on the handle to turn it off. Then I noticed the base was loose so I started turning it and sure enough, it tightened down. Swinging the faucet must loosen the faucet.

I went back to the vanity faucet and started turning the band at the base of the faucet. It was tight but turning eventually allowed the handle to come off. On the inside was a phillips head screw. I tightened it and replaced the faucet handle by screwing it on; voila!

Posting pics for future reference.

There is a lesson here….

The first time you do something is the most difficult. It is similar to reinventing the wheel. Often, tasks are simple if you allow yourself to focus a bit.
BUT…Sometimes there is a trick, or a sequence, or something you can't see.

In addition to this forum, Youtube videos have helped me fix a lot of stuff

The tricky thing is determining what you can and can not fix.

I have the same problems with our faucets, so great timing on this post.

Also, thanks for the helpful photos!
