Like many of you, our shower is used mostly for those hard to store items... the ironing board, some folding chairs, the patio lights, the folding outside garbage cans and a bin of miscellanious items. Also kept in the shower is a flat sided two quart pail, and a one gallon jug of distilled water for the dogs.... no more slinging water all over after a drink! It all comes out easily if we want to shower.
However, during most of our travels, we shower at truck stops... pays our money, use their towels, all the hot water in the world, and someone to clean up after me! LOL!! Of course, we both trucked for many years, running single or double as required, so it is no big deal for us to request a shower. Most truckstops now have no problem with mom-and-pop showering, they take it in stride, give me an extra towel when asked, and get on with life.... that way we only pay one shower fee. They also provide soap, and sometimes shampoo. Did I mention I was cheap?

Use the shower
Thats why I got a trailer with all the ammenities. I like using my own shower. You never know what goes on in those campground showers, (but I do) its not pretty . Besides you never know JANET could be camping there too and the hot water could be all used up.

Priorities................
#1 A bed
#2 A heater
#3 A shower
If my camper didn't have a shower, I would probably just take my van.
I can do without a toilet and fridge. A Porta Potti and a cooler are almost
easier to deal with. I would love to have an outdoor shower, but in
some places draining greywater all over the place would be a no no.

We also mostly keep the bulky items in the shower. I think the holding tank is only 14 gallons and it fills quick enough with just the sink and toilet.
Pre Airstream I had a "Canned Ham" with porta pottie and no shower of water heater. I found a device called a Solar Shower which was a clear plastic, 2 gallon bag with a black backside. I would fill it with water in the morning when we were out in the boonies, flip it up on the top of the trailer, and have hot water when we came back from hiking.
Shower curtain? We don't need no stinking shower curtain. There were always towels to hang on a line to block the view. Things were a little looser back then.
Tom.

Having a shower with a bathtub was a big attraction to us when we were looking to buy a trailer. Then again, we've never used it, mostly because we've had a leak in our water inlet point. Presently, we are adding in a greywater tank--probably not as big as we'd wish, but a size we can fit in next to our watertank in our side gaucho. Given the size restriction of the tank, I can't see long, leisurely showers--but a good hot soak will be really nice. We plan to use the trailer to attend reenactments--those can get really dirty, a bubble bath at these places would be the ultimate luxury...
Ultimately, though, it's your trailer. I'd think, however, removing the shower would remove a fair amount of its resale value, even if you never use it.

After doing all my prior camping in a pop-up with no facilities whatsoever, using my shower everywhere I stay not only is a must, but a matter of principle!

I agree, Just letting the shower grey water run out on the ground would be an issue in many places. Outside of that, if you want an outside shower, do it! It is YOUR trailer after all....

regardless of if you ever replace the indoor shower, i think the outdoor one is a great ad on!!!
i have had 3 trailers over the past 5 years, big and small, and have never showered in them.
and I'm glad that my current floor plan does not take anything away to give it to a shower (best wet bath layout ever)
i have camped with people that have had the outdoor thing and it was great, and good too for those muddy boots or kids you don't want to put in the trailer!
i say add it , good it really well and it will always be a thoughtful ad on.

My MOHO does not have a shower, darn. But rather than try to fit into a very tiny, tiny space I opt for the YMCA. My membership goes anywhere nationwide, and keeps me fit too. Janet is right! Some of these showers would be great if you're 5' tall and weigh 90 lbs. but for full size folks it would be tough. I can stand in my smallish phone booth of a bath and get cleaner using the basin in the vanity than I could twisted into a pretzel in a smaller shower.

Use ours too. Much better than some campground showers. As an example, 2 years ago, we camped at Disney's Ft. Wilderness. Their showers were cold. After asking multiple times to turn on hot water, they never did. Glad we had our A/S shower!

My trailer is my home and I use its facilities the same as I do at home. Daily showers, most places will evict you if you run washwater on the ground.
