How do you replace 72 Tradewind sink?

I will be taking out the cracked sink in my Tradewind and replacing with an identical unit. Anybody with a step by step procedure? Drill out rivets? If so what rivets/gun do I need when I put the new unit back in? And what to make sure NOT to do to screw things up?
Thanks

Disconnect the water and drain lines. There is a special long handle wrench that really helps. I found mine in a hardware store. Take off the trim insert nosing on top and the trim along the lower edge. drill out the rivets with a 1/8" drill. If that is too small use a 9/32". A standard rivet gun with 1/8" pop rivets will work. I would try 5/8" length rivets. While you are at it check you tambour for any needed repairs.

Are u replacing it with a new unit? Where did you get a replacement and how mucha?

Sink replacement

Thanks Lumatic, I'm probably about a year behind you on all these repairs. Annette is shipping me the sink she took out of her trailer for cost of shipping $132. Hope UPS brings it in one piece. I wonder if I should take it by a fiberglass shop to get a fresh coat of gel or paint put on it before doing the install? Did you unscrew previous plumbing or cut it and reconnect?

Richard

Keep in mind the lavarette is ABS not fiberglass. I don't know if fiberglass gel coat will stick. Epoxy paint such as Tough as Tile works great.

If the water lines are the same as on my moen faucets at the lav,you will need to cut the 1/4 " supply lines and reconnect with 3/8 compression unions.Dave
