Hot water in toilet?
We are getting hot water in the toilet while hooked to city water but not when using the pump. I just dont get it. I would think if we had a bad mixer in one of the other fixtures it would be that way all the time... This spring is the first time we have used the city water hookup most regularly so I dont know if this is a new problem or we just never noticed before.
I did have to replace the PaR pump with a shureflo this spring. Replacing one pump for another with miner hook up modifications nothing that would change the water to the toilet.
Any suggestions?

Are you sure it`s not just the water getting hot in your supply hose to the trailer, cause it makes no sense. Dave

Nope... not water hose getting hot.. We first noticed it the last weekend of March while at the NOVA rally at Jackson center (our first full hook ever) The temps outside were just above freezing. The amount of steam comming out of the toilet durring the flush was strange so I grabbed the sprayer handle and "CRAP THAT IS HOT!!" bout burnned my hand.
I dont get it either.

Getting crossover, might be winterization valve open at the water heater, closed at outside letting hot get to the cold by dump line.

okay... now that you say that... I dont think there is a winterizer bypass on this one... I will look on Thursday when I go get it for the weekend... I do know the line to the toilet is just inside the cabinet next to the toilet. But I dont recall a Bypass kit... I am sure if it is there I did not use it last fall.
And another thing while I am thinking about it... All the faucets are backwards while on city water.... This is just strange
Thanks ... keep the ideas flowing I would like to have a grasp on this so I can figure it out on Thursday

Sounds like the city water hookup is into the hot water pipe instead of the cold line.

Be very careful if you have to do a 'courtesy flush'

Mine was just as Minno stated. The city water inlet was connected to a hot water line. Everything was great when using the watr pump, but everything was reversed when connected to city water. One cut and a few PEX fittings later it was good again.
