Aria, when I replaced my toilet, the diections called for a universal adaptor, which had a seal on it that seated on the metal ring. This was available at my local RV store. Just clean the metal ring good first, and don't bend it. I couldn't figure out how it was in there either, and almost tweaked it beyond repair messing with it.

Thanks Dave. We are searching for a new gasket. There aren't RV stores around us. Once we locate the gasket...I think we can put the toilet back together.

Got a PM from Sharon....she said to look for other leaks. It may be MORE than the toilet. The search is on. Thanks again, Aria

Thanks to all that responed to our Toilet Problem. Mel gave me Mark's RV and we ordered the gasket today. We also ordered fiberglass(they suggested) to put around the rotted wood area.

The gasket model 910(thanks to Mel) expected in 2 days. We are all set for the repair job. Tom W....I just do the typing. Husband is doing the requests, and repair. Thanks again, will give results soon ...I hope. Aria

we just filled up the fresh water tank last night (sanitized) for the first time after winter, ran all the faucets and noticed a leak in the toilet.

got on here to do a search and see how easy/hard it was going to be to repair and came right across this thread. picked up a new inlet valve and installed it today. no more leak! thanks for the info! jk

Thanks to you. We have a new gasket from Mark's RV (Mel). He suggested to repair with epoxy around the small section of rotten wood.

Upon examination (waiting for the epoxy stuff to dry and another coat) there is a plastic piece connected to metal and then a copper small piece of pipe.
The plastic(white) has a hairline leak. Is this the inlet valve? Husband is working. I am trying to get more info for him. Zep? Aria
