Unhappy Grey water backup

We had a distressing incident recently and we are not sure what caused it. It only happened once but that was enough. Our systems monitor did not show any need for concern with grey water (or anything else for that matter) in our 2005 Classic WB when I went to bed one night. I was later shaken awake by my wife, who was still up, and told that water was coming up in the shower. It was grey water and it was bubbling up in the drain. I quickly ran outside and flushed the tanks and we spent part of the following day cleaing up. The moniter is practically new and was installed by Airstream. It seems to register other conditions without any problems and we have never had a problem with the grey water before or since. Is there a way to test the sensors in the tanks and the monitor system?

That happened to us too, but we had forgotten to open the drain for the gray water. Glad we caught it before it overflowed onto the floor! Live and learn!
