Galley faucet trap

First trip of season. Everything under kitchen galley and one drawer was wet when we stopped for night. Couldn't see any obvious pipe leaks when hooked up to water. However, both screw fittings for faucet trap were hand loose. I tightened both. Think that was my problem?

Hard to say for sure. Sometimes the trap gets loose. Sometimes there's a faucet leak only when the faucet is running. Sometimes there's a leak in the seal between the sink and the drain, that only drips when the sink is full of water.

Well, there should have been a few ounces of water in the P trap and loose fittings could distribute it. It is the most likely culprit as the water pump was not on while you were traveling so only residual pressure.

The flashlight check while the water system is under pressure is your friend.
