I had to replace the bathroom sink faucet and was lucky to find a perfect one for us at Home Depot. Unfortunately, after I replaced the old water lines and PB fittings underneath the sink, I realized that the shower valve is not working. After I took it all apart (and sometimes it makes my husband a little concerned to see all of the inside parts laying on the outside of the cabinetry!) it almost looks like someone painted it??
I am nervous that the one PB fitting I could not replace is from the valve to the shower wand. This old fitting connects to the valve under the sink, then the shower wand line goes through the wall to a wall connection where the shower hose attaches. I think I may purchase a new shower faucet so I can run the shower hose directly from the bottom (or top) of the faucet (on the inside of the shower) versus using this current configuration. I think I may look at Camping World or somewhere other than Home Depot/Lowes for this faucet though since our wall supporting the faucet is rather thin and I want something lighter.
If so, I would also like to replace our shower wand head as even after cleaning, is rather yucky. I am trying to keep in mind the weight, though so the wand is not too heavy for the wall hook.
