Yes. To me, the fact that I know who has previously used my shower, toilet, and bed is one of the major pluses in owning the trailer. I hate public accommodations and use them as little as possible.

The shower is great for accumulating enough soapy gray water to wash out the blue slinky when I dump.

Over the years I have run into people who never use the shower, never drink the water from the fresh water tank, never use propane and I won't even mention the one about the toilet. It is all there to be used. With proper maintenance it is safe.

We have the Oxygenics and think it's great. You should get one.

We like to boondock. Being able to take a shower makes it civilized.

We always use the shower vent fan while showering. We also wipe Lucy's shower down with an artificial chamois cloth after use.

This is Lucy's shower after about 1,500 showers. It still looks like new.

The seller of my Argosy said they don't use the shower or the furnace because his wife doesn't like the shower and distrusts gas heat. The used the stove all the time though, go figure! They've never filled the fresh water tank either, drinking bottled water and using freshwater hookups at campgrounds.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet... (taking possession today!) but I assume I'll use the shower and I hope the seals on the pump aren't fossilized from disuse. The furnace fired up and worked fine during my inspection, but I need to check and see if it's one of the recalled serial numbers before it gets "cold" again.

We have been full timeing for almost two years and use our shower every day. We see a lot of folks who use the shower for storage. What is that about? Have fun and enjoy the Airstream

We have run across a couple of Airstreamers who never use the shower, toilet, stove, oven, or fresh water tank. They basically use their Airstream as a hard-sided tent. Why bother?

Not to hijack a thread ,,,,,, but what style or model of the Oxygenics shower head is best for the Airstream ?

The only time we have used campground showers (once or twice) is when we were close to having filled the grey water tank and there was no sewer. After the OEM shower head broke for the third time (each time replaced under warranty) we bought a cheap shower head ($18) at Lowe's—works much better than the extra-extra cheap OEM one.

Ours is the shower with the wheel well that makes it feel cramped, but it works and we get just as clean. I do enjoy using our shower at home more where I can stretch my arms all the way out and not touch the walls.

The Oxygenics shower head in the picture is the standard hand held model. I bought it at Camping World a couple of years ago. I connected it to Lucy's OEM shower head hose so that I didn't need to change out the holder on the shower wall. I like it very much and would not go back to the OEM shower head.

Yes, we use our shower. If the kids are really sandy from the beach we will send them to the campground shower, if there is one, just to keep sediment out of the tank.

The octopus in the picture is Oliver. He is mine, and not SuEllyn's. Oliver is my Airstream shower scrunhcy (good name) and stays in Lucy all the time. I have another similar duck scrunchy for the house.

Hi, I also hate to use the public restrooms Etc.

For coffee and cooking, we use bottled water. We [my wife] don't drink from the fresh water tank.

I don't drink water, period.

Hi, Brian. I like how you were able to use the factory shower head holder, but I don't see a shut off switch for the new head. Do you leave it running or turn the main valve on and off each time?

How does the flow rate of the Oxygenics head compare to the standard oem head? The one thing I like about the factory head is the low flow and hot water lasts a long time. Is the Oxygenics comparable? I like it in your pics.

The Oxygenics shower head has a shut off collar on the neck just below the wall holder in the photo. It is gradually adjustable from full on down to a trickle.

I find that the Oxygenics is comparable in flow rate to Lucy's OEM shower head, but it feels like I'm getting more water pressure for a better shower.

If I didn't use the shower I would be sleeping on the outside of the trailer.

We use bottled water for cooking and drinking.

Actually I have used mine on occasion - at rallies were there were no showers, and at a campground or two where the showers were so bad that the B190's shower was a better option. But most of the time it's the home for the litter box.

Brian, it looks like you only put on the new head and reused the existing hose and mount from the factory shower. I noticed that this model from Oxygenics comes with its own hose, but not a mount (sold separately). Their mount looks different. Am I correct on my assumptions?

As with the majority who replied, we use our shower all the time.
