Disposal???

My wife just asked me if we could put a garbage disposal in our 1994 34 ft. airstream.....I said I dont think I ever heard anyone ask about it on the forums....Sooo, what do you say can I install one and use it without causing any damage?

Hummm.

Installation would probably not be too difficult. However, there may be a less-than-silver lining. Your sink water more than likely goes right into your gray tank, whose design is meant more for liquidy stuff. Now, if you use your disposal to grind up lots of more solid-type foods, I wonder what the result will be downstream from the sink?

I routed my kitchen sink drain into our black tank, that may be an option if you decide to do this.

We had this discussion not too long ago. Here's the thread - hope it helps!

Good. I don't think any of us were thrilled about the prospect.

Thermosan?

My 73 manual talks about an option called a Thermosan. Basicly the stuff that would usually end up in the black water tank is routed by hoses and pipes to the exhaust manifold of the TV and voila all gone! Anybody ever seen one of these work?
