Crazy faucet Handles

I have a 1978 28' Ambassador with some crazy faucet handles. The shower and kitchen faucet handles spin 360 degrees...you can spin them all day long if you wanted to...no stops. They will correctly go between hot and cold as you swing through the circle...shouldn't they stop at max cold and max hot? My bathroom sink does. I replaced the 30 year old Moen faucet cartridges today to see if that would help. It doesn't, but boy do they work easier now and I have much more water pressure. Any ideas as to the 360 degree swing?
Thanks,
Tom

Mine both have positive stops. Maybe the pins are gone in yours? As it is you have limitless possibilites.

Limitless possibilities...hmmmmm. Well, the good thing is the faucets work fine other than sometimes you are not quite sure where the water temp is set. Thanks for answer.

Hi Tom,

That was Moen’s little known Disco Ball style faucet. An option only available for a limited period of the 70s, it is now highly desirable.

You don’t already have the strobe in the shower? Are you sure those are original?

Always hated disco, always will.
