Composting toilet replacement

Does anyone have any words of wisdom on these toilets to replace the stock models? I sure would like to s*^t inside this winter.

Only problem with those composting toilets, is the cost. $3000 to $5000. They require electric or nat gas/propane to work. So, why not use the stock toilet?

The cost has declined much in the last few years, The non-electric models are well under $1000 including a small fan.

Hey Phaedrus, what model composting toilets have you seen? I looked at Sun Mar's RV composting toilet model, and it was $1100 plus s/h. Any suggested brands?

I would say say it's a toss up between Sun-Mar and Bio-Let, which is also said to be very affordable.
