can this be done?

Being a total newbie I have no idea if anyone has done this before successfully. Can we trade out the above the floor blackwater tank for one mounted below the floor and install a Sealand Traveler Lite sandard height toilet? Since I'm going to be in charge of the "black stuff" I want to make sure that we have enough pitch for the "stuff" to flow down hill. Hubby insists all will be fine.

Annette, anything like this can be done. Look at http://www.airforums.com/forums/f91/its-girl-31084.html for instance -- discussion starts before post 140 and continues at least until post 158. It's an unusual situation to replace the floor without removing the belly wrap -- but these folks are very experienced. Look at the idea of a gray tank as long as you're going this far. Your vintage didn't have gray tanks and they are darned nice.

How solid is your floor?
