Luxebidet 185 install
After reading this thread, I ordered and installed a Luxebidet. Mixed review. First, it comes with hardware for home installation. You will need 1/2" T fitting and a longer bidet hose, which are available from Luxebidet. In my 25 there was enough room, barely to install the T in the existing water supply line. Make sure you buy the 185 so you can adjust water pressure from your seat.
The bidet fits on the toilet, but is a tight fit on the right resulting in a slight angle off center for the front facing nozzles. The vendor tells me the nozzle adjustment is only 90 degree increments(crazy?) so I should move my rear end on the seat a bit. I tested that out, clean, and it can work so I will give it a try on my next trip, which is after the return window. So, I am stuck with it or I can toss it. Time will tell. I like my Toto at home and some extra water in the black tank is no bother. There may be a better brand but this price is good.

Can you post a picture of it? How difficult was it to install? I have one on my sticks and bricks toilet and the installation was very simple. I am curious if it will be the same on the rv toilet

At the risk of the following question being a little like "How much does that Airstream cost?" [* -- answer below], but why use a bidet at all? Are we not "camping?"
If you spread your backside cheeks well, and open the bomb bay doors wide, isn't the fecal residue minor enough to be cleaned up with TP, plus baby wipes as needed?
Thanks for your clarification and analysis . . . . . . so to speak.
Peter

PS -- Hat tip to Paul Hogan in "Crocodile Dundee" for the term "washing your backside!"

Well, Peter, if you have never used a bidet/bidet seat, that is a fair question to ask. With an electric bidet seat, and accompanying warm air dryer, you use no toilet paper at all. Clean and neat. Most of the toilets in Japan, in public places, had such seats. I have been using my Toto at home for decades now. Very easy to get used to.
As for camping. Not sure. I just installed the non-powered one so it will wash and not dry. Cannot comment on success yet, but in theory, it will clean better with less use of that crummy single ply RV-style paper. Good enough reason for me.

We have a SmartBidet toilet seat unit at home and are quite fond of it. Heated water, air dry.
Those "in the know" I am sure will agree: it is the only way to fly....
In the limited space of the WC of the Airstream, we found the Biffy Bidet.
While not as comprehensive as at home, it gets the the job done and is simple to install.

Yeah, I think that would get around some of the space issues with the Luxebidet, but you still need to scope out the installation of a water supply T and a long enough hose to go from the left side water supply, unless you can install this on the left. Surprising that it is more than twice the price of the Luxebidet, though.

A sharkbite T, a short piece of pex, and a 1/2 NPT adapter was all it took for me in a 27 FB Flying Flying Cloud.
The bidet installed easily on right side of commode, if one was seated.

JD

Those of you who have done this, do you find the lack of a water heater “surprising” in use? Our Todo at home has a flash water heater built in which may have spoiled us.

Our home unit is heated, too.
I prefer the heated, but am not bothered by the "cold" Biffy enough to go without. It's not that bad.

It was a simple install and works great. It's best to put a valve on the input line so you can control the pressure coming in. The unit has a control knob, but if you turn it too far too quickly, the pressure is really high.
Another benefit is if you are in a cold climate you don't need coffee in the morning to wake you up.

Yes and we love it. See ‘Our first bidet’ thread with pictures. Just search on the topic bidet.

Hi everyone,
is anyone here?
so this thread appeared relevant to me, as I'm currently looking for a seat replacement
Any recent opinions on Toto or Brondell?
I'm reading reviews but real experience is much better
thanks

I have a Toto at home and it is quite wonderful.
For our airstream we’ve so far just used the Toto portables mentioned earlier.

Exactly...just lift a cheek and spray. Plus if you drop it it's easily retrieved.😂
If you do bidet, do you duck waddle with your drawers down to air dry or use the TP?
Disclaimer...we do not 'glamp' or care to do so. TETO
