Bathroom sink replacement
We are the second owners and the PO let the trailer sit unused for about a year. As a result, the lavatory "stainless"sink was severely spotted/corroded. In the beginning I spent two days polishing it out, but it has remained prone to spotting, as has the lavatory faucet. Not so for the galley. I thought the Lavatory sink was probably an import, although I am not sure.
So on our last trip I did some internet surfing and found some Kohler stuff that I thought would work and is more in keeping with the Serenity décor. I measured the old sink in place and I thought the Kohler sink would just drop in: not so, of course. I had to do some trimming with a sabre saw. Then I discovered that Airstream uses 1 1/2 inch drain piping where everyone else uses 1 1/4 in a lavatory. Fortunately I found a P-trap at Lowe's that accepted 1 1/4 inlet and 1 1/2 outlet. Not too demanding as projects go and I really like the new look!
