these are the best tubs
Hi 2vets
Nice looking paint job. I did not have to remove the tub on my 62' Safari but looks the same and is located in the same area. I did repaint it in place and re plumbed and reconditioned fixtures. The shower valves are located on the side wall by the vanity sink, and while running new pex added a fixture set for an outside shower accessable by the rear hatch.
The tub attachments look pretty simple if you still have the aluminum trim. The divider wall is a formica type product on shower side and veneer wood on the mid section side. The hardware is attaching the light fixture and wood shelf and those were replaced with stainless.
I did have to cut out the old drain as there was signs of leaks and that was a nasty job. Replacement was a 2" bar drain, a standard item.
One addition that I would do is add an interior support to the aisle side step over wall....the one in the photo with the heat vent at the floor. The top ledge is kind of thin and is showing signs of cracking. If one were to step on this or sit on it there could be damage.
The first photo was taken before I rounded off the counter edges. They were sharp and in a bad place for bare knees.
I added metal trim along floor edges...either there was plastic or nothing before.
I can only add four pics at a time. Click on them and they should enlarge.
Gary
(love the lights...thanks)
